The weekend started off with happy hour at the Portsmouth Brewery, a nice brewpub downtown. I was, of course, a nervous wreck but the nice people of VT kept buying me drinks and before long I was telling the waitress how great her hair was and treating the bar area like my personal office.
This was a lot of fun and a great way for people to meet each other and have a chance to talk for a few hours before dinner.
The photo is of me and Benazer at the Brewery. Az came all the way from London.
And very glad I did too

Friday night's dinner was at The Rosa, an Italian place downtown with really good food. The people who work there are great, too. If you ever find yourself in Portsmouth I highly recommend eating here. Everyone ate and drank too much and had a good time!

My favorite part of the whole weekend was the Isles of Shoals harbor cruise on Saturday afternoon. The weather was nothing short of perfect, and there's nothing quite like spending four hours on a pleasure cruise with a bunch of VTers on a boat that serves booze. Everyone really had a chance to relax and talk and get to know each other. Even the kids had a lot of fun. The scenery coming out of the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard, the harbor islands and the Isles of Shoals was just spectacular, too. It's a day that I won't ever forget.
The photo is of CoAir13 and Kaspian, two of my great friends.
Mine too now as I met them there.

This is Star Island, one of the Isles of Shoals, taken from the cruise. I used to spend a week there every summer as a kid so seeing it again was very special for me.

On Saturday evening we had another happy hour at Poco's Bow Street Cantina. Poco's is such a great bar. It takes up the whole basement level of the building and has lots of comfy couches and little nooks to sit in. As an added bonus, and to everyone's surprise, Yubert actually showed up here! Photo is of Yubert and Shohman.

On Saturday night we had dinner at the Oar House, a seafood restaurant by the harbor.

Sunday morning a few people got together for breakfast downtown at Popovers. It was a nice, relaxing morning sitting out in the sun drinking coffee.
