I am sorry to be forced to post this under a wrong place, BUT unfortunately the VT-database has never heared of Deception island, nor does it accept a meeting in "Antarctica"
I will arrive at Deception Island in Novemer 26th, 2008 onboard of the Bark Europa, a traditional 3-mast ship built in 1911.
With me is my brother Bernhard (abvideo here on VT) so we have the guarantee for the most-southern VT-meeting ever !!!
When the weather is fine I will take a bath in the geothermicallly heated water there.

Maybe you come with another ship - BUT you should not expect to be able to go ashore there, when coming with one of the big cruiseships : They might have Deception Island on their schedule just for cruising, not for going ashore...

The best solution would be to book on the Bark Europa as well :
the trip starts in Ushuaia at Nov. 19th,and ends after 22 days at December 10th, 2008 !
each berth in 4-5bed cabins is 5100 euros, in the double-cabin 6300 euros, looks a lot in the first moment, BUT have you ever seen the prices for a single person in one of the smaller ships with less than 100 passengers ?

The Europa has just 48 passengers and according to the Antarctic treaty not more of 100 persons will be allowed to go ashore at the same time , so a vessel with 400 passengers has to have 4 turns of excursions in each "port" with 300 people onboard and 100 ashore
