Asia Meetings and Events

My hubby and I will be in Beijing for a week from 17th to 23rd May 2008.

We are hoping to meet VTers in Beijing or those who travel the same path during the same period. Need advice where we should meet up to chit chat & get to know the real you.

17th is the proposed date since it is Saturday. Any other dates in between should be fine. Drop me a line or two or more for ideas & suggestions.

I plan to be in Mandwa,Alibaug,near mumbai on the 30th by noon and will be staying over the night at the Bombay Sailing Association Club House.Mandwa is conveniently reachable by a ferry off Appolo Bunder, opposite the Taj Mahal Hotel , Bombay. Members of VT can catch up over a beer at the beach house. Any takers? As this is really at short notice I will appreciate a call to confirm on my cell 9822250978.

I am going to be in Phuket on 1st-4th Jun and staying at Deevana Resort & Spa hotel in Patong Beach. Would like very much to meet up VT for a drinks there. C ya!!

My son and I are making a trip to include Bangkok (other parts of Thailand) and Cambodia (especially Ankor Wat). We really don't know enough and would like to meet with others that may be doing something similar from this date to a month forward. Would like an evening meeting 1900 hrs or so. We will be at Suk 11 hostel. Could easily meet somewhere for dinner or just drinks. I've traveled a lot but haven't traveled a lot lately. I'm older (66) and he's younger (15). Anyone of similar interests?

Tokyo, because of its sheer size (remember Godzilla?) and population, can be an intimidating and impersonal place. If there is anyone out there who would like to have a VT chat over a beer/coffee or two, please don't hesitate to come forward. Will be staying around the Roponggi area.

Hello all, I will be coming down to Nagoya for some sumo action this July and would love to have a VT meet on Tuesday July 15. I will be meeting up with some old friends and thought it would be nice to some new people. Anyone who's interested is welcome to bring friends as well. the more the merrier!

FYI- No information on where on when, but i think it will be in central Nagoya around 8pm. I'm guessing dinner first, nothing too fancy, and then a drinks or just a izakaiya.

Hello everyone, I will be traveling around Osaka in mid July would love to have a VT on Sunday July 20th (Monday July 21st is a holiday).

Meet time will be 7pm. Lets do dinner and then a few drinks. Should be a really fun and relaxing time. Anyone who comes is welcome to bring friends. The more the merrier.

I will be in Bali on 8th-12th Aug. Would like to meet VT over there for a drinks. Not sure about where i am gonna stay but definately at Kuta Beach area.

It's gonna be a meeting with VT members in Bali. I will be celebrating my son's 3 year old birthday there. I hope to have some VT members to cheer up the party.
