Fish dinner by the sea be4 the Red Bull Air Race? Posted: Aug. 11, 2008 We enjoyed the show and the meeting last year. So let join the crowd again (around 1 million?!) and see the sterling performance of the fastest pilots, a thrilling battle over the banks of the river Douro. But before all this liveliness lets get together in another vtmeeting.
This time to avoid the crowds "at the table" we will meet saturday evening between the qualifying race (saturday afternoon) and the final race (sunday afternoon). We didn't decided yet the final plans but maybe a fish dinner in Matosinhos / Leça da Palmeira area will be appropriate - after all it's the "Festa do Mar" (Feast of the Sea) season. Moreover the fish /sea food there it's very fresh and we can find very good and cheap restaurants and open spaces out on the street during the Feast. Subscribe and send your opinions about the meeting. Then we will democratically decide. |

| May. 29, 2009 VT Meeting | Cascais | 5th EuroVTmeeting - Portugal, 29-30-31 May 2009 Posted: Jun. 09, 2008 CASCAIS is a small cosmopolitan suburb of the Portuguese capital (30 km from Lisbon airport) and one of the richest municipalities in Portugal. The former fishing village gained fame as a resort for Portugal's royal family in the late 1800s and early 1900s (and some European princes and kings also lived there). Nowadays it is a popular vacation spot for both Portuguese and foreign tourists. It's a lovely place that offers nice walkings, sea, beach, good restaurants, good shopping and nice all budget accommodation.
Moreover, owing to a Mediterranean type microclimate, the coast line around has mild winters and an ideal summer temperature which never gets too hot. The autumn is ideal and is like a second spring. In addition to that, it?s quite central in terms of country in order to allow people also to visit/stay in other places before/after the meeting. You will find info about program, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing tips and answers to frequently asked questions on the Euromeet09Portugal homepage. So have a look at this site every now and then. If you intend to spend some good time in Portugal next year, subscribe this event. We are looking forward to seeing you all in CASCAIS.
