Genteel pub Crawl - Plus Dinner Posted: Jul. 05, 2008 Meet in the Welsh bar about 6pm. Then on to a cheap and cheerful place for dinner. Then on to other old, unusual, interesting places - we'll decide as we go.
The Welsh Bar is in the middle of Cambridge and Kent Terrace at Courtenay Place. It used to be a public lavatory called the Taj Mahal by the locals. The photo is of the General Practitioner - the GP - which is an interesting pub. We might go there. |

| Aug. 02, 2008 • VT Meeting | Wellington | Saturday lunch in Thorndon? Posted: May. 30, 2008 Meet about midday at the Shepards Arms Hotel in Tinakori Road, Thorndon. Have a spot of lunch (soup about $9, fish and chips about $21 and range of snacks like nachos.)Glass of wine, glass of beer etc etc.
If we feel energetic after lunch we could stroll in the Lady Norwood Rose Garden or explore the cute winding back streets of Thorndon. | craic |
