Take U3 and get out at station Rochusmarkt. There you walk to the side of the market that is closest to the city-centre. Salmgasse starts at this end of Rochusmarkt.

Sonja (yumyum) will finally make it to Düsseldorf on 11 October and we wouldn't be called "The usual suspects" if we weren't using this as an excuse for a little VT meeting.

The meeting probably includes a little sightseeing part in the afternoon and as well as dinner and drinks in the evening.

A relaxing weekend of food, drink, convesation, craic, music and mayhem in Cork's lively pubs and restaurants.

Starting on Friday evening, October 17. at 7 with food, drink and trad music.

Saturday, is dedicated to the great outdoors and you can choose from a range of afternoon trips to Kinsale, Cobh or Blarney or alternatively, a full day trip to West Cork or Kerry. Public transport connections are available to all of these places at prices ranging from EUR 7-22.

Saturday evening: dinner and a great Cork tradition - the Pub Crawl. A chance to visit two or three of our more famous pubs before settling in for the evening. Clubbing later of course, for those who like to dance.

Sunday morning: brunch and city sightseeing for the energetic....... or just brunch.

After attending the VT meeting "A Taste of Ireland in Cork", I will be in recovery in Dublin for three days (October 20-21-22 ;-)

You are cordially invited to come along and participate in the delights and delicacies offered by the Manchester Christmas Markets.

As we did last year, we will meet outside Starbucks on the corner of Princess Street (which runs alongside Manchester Town Hall) and Clarence Street. At the request of some attending, we will meet earlier at 11:00am.

This is a very informal meeting, giving VTers chance to spend time at the stalls around the various market sites and we will have a number of reconvening locations and times so that we can re-group before moving on to the next market area.

The day will finish at The Old Wellington Inn on Cathedral Gates near the Triangle Shopping Centre, Harvey Nicks and Selfridges.

Wrap up warm and bring something to keep the rain off (preferably not an umbrella as the Markets tend to be very busy and brollies get tangled up and there is the potential for accidents).

It's already a tradition and it's becoming more and more popular: the Glühwein-Meeting at Karlsruhes christmas-market. So let's get together for some hot cups of Glühwein (mulled wine) and a chat with a bunch of nice VTers.

As usual we will have an additional visit of a nearby christmas market on Saturday as well. And if there is good weather we could even have an excursion to the nearby Black Forest.

We will meet at 6 pm in front of the big church at the marketplace. After exploring some of the Glühwein stalls we will spend the rest of the night at the restaurant Multikulti next to Karlsruhes palace. I've reserved a table there at 8 pm.

Iam organizing a special meeting with Atlc and also this 5th. Euromeet will be shared with Portugal Cascais

for now this is the first setup but there will be more possibilities for people who want something different or in combination with the first option.
Trips in and outside the museum and Eindhoven will be updated as soon as we know more.

Fridaynight:
welcome at 17.00 with a drink for all attendees and after we put our stuff in farms or in a special tent were we will be sleeping, then a guided tour for those who like this through the museum.
then at 19.00 we start a BBQ and after for those who want, a walk through the green area of Genneper Parken or a guided tour through the museum and after some drinks/stories/songs at the fireplaces a nightcap in the museum.

Saturday and Sunday:
we will organize all kind of workshops guided by historical dressed guides all over the area, like pottery, making bread, a workshops by the blacksmid and others.
Those workshops will take place 2 times a day between breakfast and lunch and after lunch till 17.00.


not included in the price:
Program on Saturday after 17.00:
dinner, drinks in the center and if wanted visit to Van Abbemuseum or something else and a tour throught nightlife.

1 option: the weekend will be for a special price for all attendees :
around 250 euro for the whole weekend, 2 days will be 200 euro and only sunday will be 75 euro.
weekend:includes: 2 nights in historic area, 2x breakfest, 2 lunches, 2x luxury BBQ in the museum, 5 coins per day for drinks, a programm were we can do some old historic handcraft and souvenirs to take home.

Choice of Restaurant:

you can take a sleepingbag and music instruments as long as they are not electric.

CASCAIS is a small cosmopolitan suburb of the Portuguese capital (30 km from Lisbon airport) and one of the richest municipalities in Portugal. The former fishing village gained fame as a resort for Portugal's royal family in the late 1800s and early 1900s (and some European princes and kings also lived there). Nowadays it is a popular vacation spot for both Portuguese and foreign tourists. It's a lovely place that offers nice walkings, sea, beach, good restaurants, good shopping and nice all budget accommodation.

Moreover, owing to a Mediterranean type microclimate, the coast line around has mild winters and an ideal summer temperature which never gets too hot. The autumn is ideal and is like a second spring. In addition to that, it?s quite central in terms of country in order to allow people also to visit/stay in other places before/after the meeting.
