we will walk a little st paul trail and değirmenözü village paths with a Antalya Taurus outdoor sports club members and with visitors.(you pay only bus money no ext.This is a social group not commercial)
If you don't have tent -sleeping bag,you can stay in the village home near camping site.

Sonja (yumyum) will finally make it to Düsseldorf on 11 October and we wouldn't be called "The usual suspects" if we weren't using this as an excuse for a little VT meeting.

The meeting probably includes a little sightseeing part in the afternoon and as well as dinner and drinks in the evening. Meeting time is 3.30 pm. We meet in front of the entrance to the Rheinturm in the Medienhafen.

Hi everyone, I am coming back to Tokyo this year and will hold my second annual Shinjuku VT meet. Last year was so much fun that I have to do it again. This year will be twice the fun and maybe twice the people.

Time: 7pm

Where: We will meet on the east side of Shinjuku station, just outside the gate. There is a huge parking area with lots of taxis and such. I will hang around and wait till about 7:15, so try to make it by then.

Place: We are going here, Sangoku-ichi. It is an udon restaurant. Prices are good, the food is good and it is a great place to have a party.

They are 3 branches in Shinjuku; we will go to the one closest to the east exit of Shinjuku station.

We WILL be doing nomihodai (all you can drink). We got a great deal, 1,500 yen for 2 hours! Its a steal at that price!

The History of Oktoberfest

The famed Oktoberfest began with a royal Bavarian wedding in 1810. The groom, king Ludwig I, wanted to celebrate his marriage to Maria Teresa of Saxonia by proclaiming a state fair, in Munich.

The festival was dedicated to the fall harvest and to the Regions most famous product, beer. Tradesman and merchants came throughout Germany to join in the merry-making. They examine the Crops, sang songs, danced and sampled the first beer of the season. The celebration was such a success that Ludwig issued a royal Decree making Oktober festival time in Munich.

Oktoberfest has been held annually ever since and has found its Way to Torrance, California at the Alpine Village. We have been Celebrating the Oktoberfest for 40 years. The festival is Celebrated in the beer garden which accommodates up to 3,000 people and includes a Bavarian Brass-Oom Pa Pa band from Germany, German dancers, contests, beer brewed at the Alpine Village and Authentic German food.
