Hi! I will be in Prague from 19th to 26th July and I thought it would be a good chance to meet other VTers from Czechia and other countries. Would anyone come to a (small) VT-meeting? Please, tell me when you can come, where we can meet and so on...

From July 30th to August 3rd 2008 will the first "Cruise Days" take place in Hamburg. 5 big cuise ships are expected to come: MS Astor, MS Comlumbus, MS Deutschland, Aidasaura and of course Her Majesty "Queen Mary 2". There will be a big programme with lots of fun in this days in Hamburg.

Even though it is very early, I am planning a VT-meeting during the cruise days... More about time and what we are going to do will follow.

Meet in the Welsh bar about 6pm. Then on to a cheap and cheerful place for dinner. Then on to other old, unusual, interesting places - we'll decide as we go.
The Welsh Bar is in the middle of Cambridge and Kent Terrace at Courtenay Place. It used to be a public lavatory called the Taj Mahal by the locals.
The photo is of the General Practitioner - the GP - which is an interesting pub. We might go there.

I will be in Ibiza from Jul 30th to Aug 3rd visiting my Father. Anyone interested in getting together for a drink / dinner / etc.....let me know !

The Swiss VTers tried very hard to find a suitable date for a Swiss meeting. Unfortunately, not all of us can make it but still we'll have a great time. So, we hope you can join us for this summer trip!

Meeting time: 11 am
Meeting place: the red "group" meeting point in the main hall of the Hauptbahnhof (photo will follow)

Programm:
Walk to the lake and take the ship to Rapperswil (SG). On the ship we can eat lunch and enjoy a leisurely cruise. In Rapperswil, a city with a pretty Old Town section and a castle, we will do some sightseeing and maybe have an ice cream. Later we travel back to Zurich by S-Bahn.

If you don't have a ticket you can buy a 9 o'clock pass which is CHF 23.00 full price. It is valid in the Canton of Zurich all day on a Saturday for all public transport.

Meet about midday at the Shepards Arms Hotel in Tinakori Road, Thorndon. Have a spot of lunch (soup about $9, fish and chips about $21 and range of snacks like nachos.)Glass of wine, glass of beer etc etc.
If we feel energetic after lunch we could stroll in the Lady Norwood Rose Garden or explore the cute winding back streets of Thorndon.

Anyone fancy a Camping weekend at Cae Du Campsite,Tywyn,Gwynedd North Wales on the 8th - 10th August?

The campsite is situated 14 miles West of Machynlleth and is overlooking the beach at Tywyn, it's very close to the mountains in the Snowdonia National park and the many Castles of North Wales. The weekend can be as active or non-active as you like although fun must be had by all. I propose bbq's, open fires & a few drinks to get the party started.

Hi, I will be in the Uk from about the 12th to the 19th August.

I am heading up to visit friends in the North East then have to be back in Brighton by 16 for a 40th. After that free until 19th Aug when I head to Paris for a few days before going to Cairo.

All Carolinians and Virginians, Georgians, hell anywhere in the South: Pay heed! A VT meet is in the making. Apparently there haven't been many (if ANY!) VT meets in the NC area, so be a part of VT History!

We plan to have a leisurely meal on Saturday August 23rd around 1pm at a restaurant To Be Determined. (Post me if you have ideas!)

I will go to Mexico D.F. august 23rd. Should spend few days in the area, then go north. I will go back to take my plane on september 12th.

I will be going on a tour from Cairo 26 August,2008. Would like to meet up with other VT members. Time and place once meeting established.

Hi there all. We have a distinguished guest visiting us here in Devon on Tuesday 26th and Weds 27th August and I reckon we should give her a prapper Devon welcome.

Nothing is yet planned but I reckon a drink somewhere and a bite to eat would be good.

If anyone (stranger or "fiend") fancies joining us I reckon we could have a good night out.

Hi, Louise - lou31 - will be in town all the way from sunny Queensland in Australia - and would like to meet up with any VTers who want to meet for a chat, a coffee, a beer, a meal - whether its for a few minutes, an hour or all afternoon and evening - please let us know whatever suits!

Open to suggestions for general consensus meeting time - maybe afternoon or evening Saturday 30th or Sunday 31st - before Lou flies home late Monday night 1st Sept.
